Dozens of firefighters were called late on Wednesday night to a three-story home on Lock Street in Chesapeake City, where a passerby alerted officials that the residence was ablaze, according to the Maryland Fire Marshal.
The fire was reported at around 11:11 p.m. on June 19. It took a team of approximately 40 firefighters 90 minutes to get the flames under control, but the home is considered a complete loss.
According to fire officials, this is the second fire that happened on the property, following a barn fire on April 28.
The cause and origin of the latest fire remain under investigation.
